A Welcome from the Editorial Board

Welcome to New Horizons in the Management of ADA-SCID, anĀ independent educational portal. This isĀ a free resource dedicated to providing cutting-edge information to you, as practising healthcare professionals in this field. Our aim is to enhance clinical knowledge by disseminating significant new research and clinical developments, and clinically-relevant information, in order to enhance your ability to provide optimal care for patients with ADA-SCID. The resource will offer free full-text journal articles, article summaries for time-pressed healthcare professionals, expert interviews, interactive patient cases studies and an expert debate webinar. The purpose is to provide multiple learning opportunities to support you in better understanding the biology of ADA-SCID, to know how to screen for it, and to be aware of the current and emerging treatments. All content is independently selected by the editorial board in collaboration with Springer Healthcare IME.

The increasing knowledge of the genetics underlying the disease, and subsequent improvements in screening and therapy, have led to the diagnosis and treatment of ADA-SCID becoming more and more complex. This resource provides you with an expert-led collection of the most up-to-date information in a single location to support you in treating patients with ADA-SCID.

We are sure that you will find this resource informative and if you have any comments or questions, we would be pleased to hear from you (IME@springer.com).
